Fatemeh Mohammadi is a professor of mathematics at KU Leuven. Her research in applied algebraic geometry develops computational tools for questions in statistics, probability and combinatorics.
Her interests include tropical geometry and algebraic statistics. She studies how algebraic and discrete structures can reveal properties of data and support mathematical methods in data science.
