Research & background
Hugues Verdure is a mathematician in the Department of Mathematics and Statistics at UiT The Arctic University of Norway. His research interests include matroids, graphs, coding theory, elliptic curves and cryptography.
His publications explore connections between the combinatorial structure of matroids and the properties of error-correcting codes. He has also worked on symmetry in polynomial optimisation and on algebraic methods for systems of equations. He completed his PhD at the University of Tromsø in 2003, with a thesis on elliptic curves over finite fields.
